 ABSTRACT
Purpose- The purpose of this study was to find out the density in diet and regular soda in cold and hot water. It was hypothesized that both diet and regular soda would sink in both temperatures of the water.
Procedure- In this experiment, diet citrus drop and citrus drop were put into an aquarium with 25 liters of warm and cold water to see if they would sink or float. The soda was left until it stopped moving, then measured with a ruler to see how far it floated up. The cans were then removed and the temperature of the water was changed and this procedure was repeated.
Conclusion- Based on the results, our hypothesis was incorrect.  The hypothesis stated that both cans would sink, regardless of the water temperature.  The diet soda floated in both cold and warm water, and the regular soda sank in both cold and warm water.
Materials
    1 empty aquarium tank
1 pail of tap water (we will use about 25 liters)
    1 can of regular coke
    1 can of diet coke

SAFETY ISSUES
1. If you spill any water, clean it up right away so nobody slips and falls.
2. Lift with your legs, not your back.
